LANXESS (Wuxi) Chemical Co., Ltd received two recognitions from Wuxi New District in the beginning of 2012: the “Safe Production Site of Wuxi New District in 2011” and “Excellent Charitable Enterprise in 2011”. These two awards demonstrated LANXESS’ efforts towards safety and highlighted its commitment to social responsibility.

LANXESS (Changzhou) Co., Ltd received “Significant Investment Awards” from Changzhou New District.

LANXESS Wuxi was honored as the flagship enterprise of energy saving and environmental friendly production in 2011 by the joint authorities in Wuxi, including Wuxi economic and information technology commission. This award recognized LANXESS’ continuous efforts in these two aspects. The Wuxi site strives to maximize the conservation of natural resources – through the most efficient possible use of raw materials and energy –and to discover new potential methods for emission and waste reduction.

LANXESS subsidiary Rhein Chemie (Qingdao) Ltd. was honored to be Advanced Enterprise in Economic Development by the Licang District Government at the Annual Economy Commendation Conference on January 20, 2011.

LANXESS China’s Semi Crystalline Products business unit was awarded as Molex Chengdu’s best supplier in 2010 in the category group of resin, metal and packaging materials.  Molex, founded in 1938, manufactures and sells electronic components worldwide. The company offers various types of connectors for automotive, consumer, communication, industrial, medical and telecommunication markets.

LANXESS Wuxi was honored to be “Human Resource Management Innovation Excellence in 2011” by Wuxi New District Management Committee.

Febuary
The Leather Chemicals Research & Development Center in Wuxi was honored as one of the Institutions of Excellence with foreign investment in Jiangsu Province.  This award was bestowed by Jiangsu Science and Technology Department. Sixteen highly reputable R&D centers were listed and LANXESS was one of them.

LANXESS Shanghai Pigments Co., Ltd received a 2011 Ringier Technology Innovation Award, being recognized for innovative technology and advantages of its Colortherm® Yellow 10 Pigments,

LANXESS Wuxi was awarded as “Green Company” at the annual evaluation of corporate environmental protection inspection organized by the Wuxi New District Environmental Protection Bureau.

LANXESS (Wuxi) Chemical Company Ltd was recognized as one of the winners of “Wuxi Safety Excellence Awards”.  It is given according to site excellences on safety policies, process and implementation.  This award is decided by eight joint government authorities in Wuxi, including Wuxi Public Security Bureau Wuxi Work Safety Administration, Wuxi Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau and Wuxi Industry and Commerce Administration.

LANXESS China’s Semi Crystalline Products business unit was awarded as one of the best suppliers in 2010 in terms of services, product innovation, technical supports and competitive pricing by Mahle China.  Mahle, founded in the 1920s, is one of the biggest automotive system suppliers globally in the filed of piston, cylinder, valve trains, air management and liquid management.

LANXESS China was awarded a Merit Certificate at the Global CSR Summit Awards 2009 Ceremony.  The Global CSR Awards, organized by the Pinnacle Group International (TPGI Pte Ltd), aim to recognize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities which are linked as closely as possible to satisfying or even delighting company stakeholders through long term relationships rather than high profile one off projects.
