To bring together young people from different cultures through traditional and contemporary music of the highest quality – that was the inspiration for the “LANXESS young.euro.classic China Festival”. LANXESS has now succeeded for the fourth time since 2007 in uniting an ensemble made up of the most talented young musicians from Germany and China – in China itself. The musicians then perform the most beautiful music of both cultures.

LANXESS believes that commitment to culture and society of this nature is inextricable with economic activity – whether this be in questions of ecology, education or culture. For example, the advancement of education at schools and universities is at the heart of our global education initiative: qualified personnel are a basic prerequisite for the sustainable success any company the world over.

This year, the concerts will be held in both Shanghai and Nanjing in May, and we anticipate another sparkling performance by an ensemble of promising young musicians under the leadership of the renowned conductor, Mr. Gerd Albrecht.
