LANXESS Presents the young.euro.classic China Concert 2010

The continued cultural engagement forms a key component of LANXESS’ social commitmen.

For the fourth consecutive year, LANXESS supports the “LANXESS young.euro.classic China Concert 2010”, featuring the most talented young musicians from both China and Germany.

This year, under the leadership of Maestro Gerd Albrecht, one of the most distinguished German conductors, the ensemble of “young.euro.classic Festival Orchestra China-Germany” showcased both classical and contemporary works of the highest quality.  The orchestra performed at the Concert Hall of Nanjing Arts Institute on May 16 and the Shanghai Concert Hall on May 18, 2010.

LANXESS Presents thLANXESS young.euro.classic to enthuse audience once more 2009

Concert program comprises a combination of Chinese and European classical music  

On August 3, 2009, 200 guests from China as well as other Asian countries had gathered at UCCA art center to witness the third LANXESS young.euro.classic China festival. In this year, highlight of the young musicians’ performance was the premiere of a composition of Wang Ying, named “Nur Ich” (just me).

LANXESS young.euro.classic China Tour Wins Hearts of Politicians 2008

On the occasion of this year’s “LANXESS young.euro.classic China Tour” (23 to 25 July 2008), LANXESS Chairman of the Board of Management Axel C. Heitmann met with Germany’s Consul General in Shanghai, Albrecht von der Heyden, and with Aristide Fenster, Envoy and Resident Attaché of the German Embassy in Beijing. On 23 July, Consul van der Heyden hosted a reception at his Shanghai residence, where he and Heitmann presented some of the orchestra’s musicians to a large circle of representatives from politics, industry, and the arts. The young musicians from Germany and China performed works from a new repertoire rehearsed for their concert tour in China.
