Rhein Chemie (Qingdao) Ltd. was established in 1995, and has been one of the first foreign investments in the chemistry sector.  Rhein Chemie had already focused its attention on this market at a very early stage, and has since then been able to grow further, today employing 180 people at the site.

Rhein Chemie Qingdao manufactures polymer additives and lubricant oil additives for the Asian market. These innovative and reliable products contribute to green mobility by opening new frontiers in fuel efficiency and environmental performances.

Polymer additives
Rhein Chemie manufactures a series of polymer additives for the rubber processing industry in Asia, including polymer-bound chemicals, processing promoters, vulcanization and filler activators, and release agents. These products, such as Rhenogran®, are used to manufacture rubber articles, such as tires, technical rubber goods and sports shoes.

Lubricant additives
Rhein Chemie lubricant additives are used in metalworking fluids, corrosion inhibitors, greases, and hydraulic, industrial gear, turbine and compressor oils.  Additin® offers efficient lubrication solution by helping to reduce wear, in gear systems for example, protect against corrosion, enhance the high-pressure characteristics fluids and protect lubricants against premature aging in heavy-duty applications.
