LANXESS to Showcase its Premium Solutions at IFAT China 2011

Specialty chemicals group LANXESS will be showcasing its high-performance Lewatit ion exchange resins at the IFAT China 2011 trade show from May 5 to 7, 2011 in Shanghai, China. The Ion Exchange Resins business unit, one of the leading manufacturers of ion exchange resins, adsorbers and functional polymers, offers its premium products from the Lewatit range, which plays a key role in the fields of industrial water treatment, food and beverages, catalysis and chemicals processing.

Monodisperse resins for industrial water treatment, such as Lewatit S 1667, are highlighted this year at the trade fair. This strong acidic cation exchange resin has been developed specifically as a top-of-the-range softening solution for process water. Other monodisperse resins being showcased at the trade fair include the gel-type cation exchange resin Lewatit MonoPlus S 108 and the hybrid adsorber Lewatit FO 36. This product is able to selectively remove arsenic from drinking water which is becoming increasingly important in the production of drinking water.

On May 6, 2011, Tony Yang, Regional Manager of the LANXESS Ion Exchange Resins business unit in China, will deliver a presentation at IFAT fair entitled “Clean Solution for Water Treatment”. He will explore the most important applications for ion exchange and adsorber resins in the field of chemical processes and waste water treatment.

LANXESS produces ion exchange resins and special adsorber resins for around 500 different applications. These products play an important role in alleviating a wide range of water problems. “We are using our many years of experience to meet the challenges thrown up by growing urbanization.
